Autumn colors

It's true. The autumn colors up here in Vermont are absolutely stunning. So in a single day we turned into real 'leaf peepers'. We had a lovely day, visiting Green Mountain villages (this is Manchester), making a forest hike in snowy whether and then warming up again with delicious lunch at a local book store. After all this we visited Bennington and its college campus, on which 'The Secret History', one of our favorite books, is based. All topped off with a cozy dinner in Stockbridge, in the Berkshires. We arrived home at the field center with an overwhelming feeling of 'I don't want it to be over!' In the extra photo a view on the maple forests of VT, which yield delicious maple syrup too!
