Fruta Misteriosa

On our hike this morning around the mouth of the Río Ayampe as part of the Jocotoco bird-watching workshop for youth we ran into this mystery fruit. It is similar to a cherimoya only it smells like parmesan cheese. The taste was mildly pleasant. We decided it was most probably planted here along the banks of the lagun.
