Carpet Below

It has rained all night, and that will bring those
colorful leaves down so that the ground will
be brighter than the tree.  So, our beautiful
autumn will lie in tatters today.   Ah well,
there is no permanence in life, just perpetual
change.  Bring on the drabness and the
snow.  I am mentally prepared.
