Do we care?

This bush is amazing. It has been growing at the side of the house since we moved in, over twelve years ago. It is on a north facing wall in this uphill, windy, wet and cold garden. It has no minimal tender loving care. We don't even know what it is, apart from 'some kind of Hydrangea'.

And yet . . . every year, without fail, it comes out with a magnificent array of blossom. Maybe it knows that we do appreciate it, even if we don't show it.
