Learning new words.

One of the pleasures of my life is learning new words and if that can be combined with blipping that is better still.

So I was pleased this morning to find these lime trees which have been " pleached ".

Pleaching is the act of joining the branches of trees together and continuing to do so as they grow taller. As you might guess it was Mrs. K.who told me that this was the word for this practice.

The photograph shows just three but in fact there are fifteen in the row and there are four rows so they are quite impressive.

I have an App which presents you with a new word every day. But too many of the words are ones already known so I think I shall search for a better one.
