Cascais

This is where we stayed on our last night in Portugal.   Our very modern hotel is in fact inside the old castle walls and was very comfortable.   It was pouring with rain when we arrived the day before but when I woke up at 7am today I could see some pink clouds in the sky so leapt (!) out of bed to explore the town and take some photos.   Needless to say by the time I got outside the pretty sky had disappeared as indeed had any hope of sunshine.   But I spent a pleasant hour before breakfast wandering round and snapping.
