Decorating..

..the Hall..

There was a message on the phone when  got in last night. The hotel had 18 students from Edinburgh Uni drop in unexpectedly, and it cleaned them out of veg. So had to do a quick harvest for them to tide them over until Fridays harvest!

Had a phone call first thing from a customer who wanted 3 dozen eggs. Sorted those out.

And another call from the polytunnel delivery man. He was in Oban, and expected to be with me by 6. So then arranged with other members of the Hall committee to start work decorating at 2. I, I and R were there before that, and had taken the old curtains down, had removed all the drawing pins from the walls, and were wiping down, ready for me to start painting. I did all the walls, while J and A cut in around the edges.. A good effort by all. We're getting new curtains next week, so it will be good to get it all done before then!..

G phoned me at 4:30 to say the tunnel would be here at 5. I'd just finished doing the rolling, and just had time to wash the roller out. Got home just as the lorry turned up. Got all that checked over, and unloaded, and then helped A & J put a load of wood away that had been delivered while we were decorating.

Fish man turned up, and had some crab claws tonight, so I bought a kilo, and have just cooked and cleaned them, eating my tea as I was doing it! Plenty left over for sandwiches tomorrow.. I LOVE CRAB..
