St Peters Basilica, Vatican

My new Canon G16 was nearly exploding with joy at the avalanche of photo opportunities as we trailed trough the Vatican museums to the jewel in the crown the Sistine Chapel Thankfully everything but breathing is banned in the most beautifully ornate place on earth, the Sistine Chapel, so the museums and the Basilica bore the brunt. The dome rose spectacularly above the throng milling around the vastness below and cried out to be photographed. So I obliged.
