Kennet and Avon canal

Having previously been stuck in traffic trying to get into Newbury I left myself bags of time this morning and arrived an hour early. It was great to have some time for a little wander and a coffee first thing and discovered how pretty parts of Newbury are.

Meeting was reviewing the resident panel structures for the local Housing Association and realised again what a big ask they are making of residents to 'co -regulate' their landlord. I guess most people really just want to pay their rent and get a good service from their landlord and it never fails to impress me what commitment people often make for the wider good. Not always sure where this government's 'broken' society is exactly. Most people just want a fairer society!

Had a bit of an afternoon off -went to visit Mum (who was happily singing along with the other residents!) and then came home to catch up with Ben.
