Rydal Water

The weather was forecast as being quite good for the afternoon and following our "check out" of the Rydal area yesterday we decided to make a day of it and head over there.

We parked at White Moss Common the car parks were heaving.  The first we tried was full but we managed to squeeze into the one across the road.  It is amazing the way modern technology pervades everything the car parks (in the middle of nowhere) have automatic number plate recognition.

We had a very pleasant walk along the far side of Rydal Water and then over the ridge to Grassmere coming back along the river.  On the river we watched a Goosander  and further along a Dipper.
