Mont Blanc & Cow Bells

One of the things we wanted to do was to get a view of Mont Blanc, the weather over the past few days had been warm and sunny, so with the forecast for more of the same today we set off up to Semnoz.  We arrived to blue sky with cloud drifting around the peaks of the mountains.   Getting out of the car we remembered that the temperature at over 5,500 feet was a lot colder at this time of year and we had made the amateur mistake of not bringing enough warm layers, so we returned to the house and started again with the correct clothing !!!!!


By the time we had returned more cloud had developed, so Mont Blanc teased us all day by briefly appearing out of the clouds. Still the day walking at Semnoz with the sound track of alpine cow bells, and glimpses of the mountain ranges was one to remember.
