Jubi-loggles

When we were away in Cornwall during the Jubilee celebrations, everything was being prefixed 'Jubi-', inspired by the brilliant TV show TwentyTwelve, in which they merged the Jubilee and Olympics to create the 'Jubilympics'.

Crumpets became Jubilumpets, the barbecue a Jubique, there were Jubiliscuits, Jubiloffee, Jubillorrige, you name it.

Anyway, the joke is still in its death-throes as Al prounounced his new red, white and blue goggles, Jubiloggles.

Had a lovely day today. Had a long walk with my friend Rachel and her dog Bubbles in Bushey Park, then did a 10k cycle. Beautifully sunny.

The sun had really gone by the time I picked up the children from school but a promise made at breakfast has to be kept, and so I took them swimming at the new outdoor pool at our Health Club. Lovely in the water but pretty chilly out if it!

Tea outside, and a long play in the playground. I can feel tiny spots of rain so perhaps it's time to go home.
