Bless my barnacles

Snugging the boat down for the winter.
Cover on, engine flushed out with fresh water and then antifreeze, all perishables removed and sails brought home.
The rudder had a couple of suspicious weep marks so we took it off and brought that home too.
Revealed a fine crop of barnacles quietly residing in the gap between the skeg and the rudder.
This will be cleaned off and will receive a couple of coats of extra strong anti fouling paint.
Looks a bit blurry - no focus control!
