African Art

This beautiful, quite large wall hanging caught my eye. It is made from different sizes of wooden shapes, covered in raw linen. The linen shapes are treated with a heated object (I would guess a rounded object like a pipe) to create burnt shapes. Also some areas were exposed to open flame, creating interesting burn marks. The barbed wire pieces have a rusted look and tied together with raw string. It is a beautiful piece! Hope I can get a full shot of this somewhere in the future. Its inspiring!
