Douglas Whates

Tonight at Mackintosh Queen's Cross we had a fabulous concert by Mira Opalinska and Douglas Whates.

Polish pianist Mira Opalińska and British bassist Douglas Whates created an atmosphere of quiet reflection and meditational mood within the beautiful surroundings. Their set included a stunning interpretation of the Miles Davis classic, So What and Wayne Shorter's, Footprints. They even included a brand new composition inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

A wonderful evening of stunning music. Sad that we had such a disappointing turnout this evening.
