Ancient and Modern
Medieval St Peter Mancroft Church and The Forum, Norwich.
Built between 1430 and 1455 on the site of a foundation dating back to 1075, this is one of the best preserved medieval churches in Norwich. It has a ring of fourteen bells, eleven of which date from 1775. Still in regular use the peal of the bells often echoes off the glass front of The Forum, completed in 2001. A great meeting place which houses the main City Library and local BBC, this building is very popular. The open space between it and the church is often used for family entertainment, recently including Dinosaur Petting!
