Moving Day

Spent a bit of time today helping my brother and his family on their moving day, trading up to a bigger house to make room for their 'plus one' which will be arriving next year.

When I say helping them move, this actually entailed mostly standing around, drinking their tea, and trying to keep things a little light-hearted amidst the chaos that becomes a family when they pack up an entire life and entrust it to men in vans.

The 'men in vans' however today were particularly grand, and in good humour themselves which makes everything much easier. I did have to take this shot though of my little niece's garden playhouse, which also had to be moved of course. At one point there were 3 removal men trying to take the thing apart. Quite funny when you think about it. In a microcosmic kind of way.

Congrats on new house brother Rob. May the forthcoming housewarming leave us all very much worse for the wear.
