Hard Work
It is very lucky that I am such an agile little dog. I compensate for my relatively small size by jumping up on the biggest rocks, keeping watch over the surroundings and thus helping us to stay safe. Mum says she's lucky to have me.
Tonight was the second obedience class. It is pitch black when we start and gets even darker from there. I wear my high viz vest, but I really need something bright and glowing...
Agility is simple enough to understand. Jump a hurdle, get a reward. Run a course, get filled with happiness and energy, plus get a treat and cuddles. Freestyle sort of is too. Learn different tricks, get a treat. Do them one after the other as a routine, get a treat and cuddles and praise and feel great.
Obedience is more complicated. I mean, I KNOW sit and lie down. What is the purpose of doing sit-lie down-sit-lie down-sit in rapid succession with mum standing two meters from me? Is it like a trick, because I do get a reward? And Heel-Stop, when she walks on and I'm supposed to stay behind? I don't like that. Well, maybe I will get it during the lessons to come.
