half term

The first day of the half term holiday: we decided to try and escape London on Friday evening immediately after school/work so that we would have as much time away as possible. Early start so that I could leave the office early, back at the house by 4:30pm, left around 5:30. The traffic wasn't hideous but also not brilliant. 6:30h and we finally made it to Cornwall. I'd forgotten about those narrow, hedge-lined lanes. 

First task of the holiday: find the nearest beach. Widemouth Bay fits the bill nicely, is 15 minutes away and huge. Plenty of surfers still in the water.
