Rose

Hubby got back from Turkey this morning, so I was up early to pick him up and got stuck in Edinburgh's ever increasing roadworks on the way to the airport. Lovely to have him back! While he caught up on sleep I took advantage of the lovely weather to finish trimming the hedge and tidy up the garden. We're back to torrential rain this evening, and I missed the opportunity to get a sunny blip!

This is a little rose with a big scent and makes up for the lack of sunshine. Absolutely beautiful. The petals open out fully later on, but I love the blooms when they are still unfurling, like this one.
