Mirror world

My husband had a 500mm mirror lens that he was thinking of selling but I asked if I could have it as I thought it might be a good "record" lens for bird watching.

It is fixed aperture f8 and as I need at least 1/500 shutter speed, I have to put the ISO up hilariously high. It is also manual and the view is very dark so you have to just hope you are more or less in focus. But it is very small and light so I think it will be useful..

I took it out today too have a shot of it and this cute and colourful wagtail started frolicking cutely in the colourful leaves, So I was a bit annoyed I didn't have a "proper" lens to do it justice! It is really not too bad though! :-)
