Pompei

with the Vesuvius in the background. The one that caused it all.

I had not done any preparation for this trip, so I had no idea that Pompei is still so very much intact! I thought it might be a couple of low walls and stones, but I was quite impressed. If you think about it, it makes sense, with it being nicely buried in the ash, but still.
