Burası Türkiye

This lovely Turkish lady was sitting at the entrance to our valley walk this afternoon - at the end of 2.5 hours of meandering through Turkish valleys, hill tops and unexpected and very rural villages, as Robin and I learnt that the printed map and reality were often unrelated and that road signs, where there were any, were not always helpful.   Anyway, we eventually arrived at the Ihlara Valley around 2.15 where we then walked for a couple of hours (7km apparently) along the river's edge (extra) and marvelled at the views, mostly of rocks (extra).  The journey back was fast on super highway drenched in sunset golden light so we were back in time to watch the Rugby. 

Thank you to everyone who looked and and commented on my Blip yesterday of the hot air balloon ride - it was a memorable experience and all should have a go!!
