Green Door disco band

Tonight was the last ever Optimo Espookio. It was a night out we always wanted to do but it used to be on a Sunday and there was no way I could get the Monday off work.

Finally two years ago it moved to a Friday so we managed to fit in three of them before they decided to pull the plug on it. When they started doing it there was apparently nowhere else in Glasgow really doing a costume party for Halloween and now everyone does. It's always a great party with a selection of halloween themed music from Siouxie, to Carmina Burana and the Birthday party and Bauhaus to Bobby "Boris" Pickett. With bits of the rolling stones and the specials amongst many others thrown in the mix too.

Another treat this time out was the Green Door Disco Band, who I think were put together from members of Golden Teacher and some other Glasgow bands for the night and did a set that was all covers of John Carpenter and Goblin songs. Brilliant!
