Cyclamen hederifolium
Over eleven years ago when we first bought the lodge Kanyl gave us some of these little cyclamen. The Verandah of the lodge stands about six feet above the car parking because of the slope. The bank is covered in rocks and faces south. We chose to try the cyclamen on this bank.
As you can see they not only survived but have thrived. A month or so ago there was nothing to see apart from the odd little leaf. Now we have a good patch of these pink and some white beauties. They are spreading due to the interesting corkscrew system of the stems on the seed pods.
For scale the flowers will be about 3 - 3.5 inches tall. They are also some times called C neopolitanum.
