The Bite House!

Terry and i had the great pleasure of dining at the Bite House this evening!

Bryan Pickard is a wonderful new chef in our area!  He began the Bite House 2 years ago, in his own home!   His home is very isolated and people were skeptical....but he has made a huge success with this very fine dining experience!   only 14 people at a time, 5 days a week, reservations only and a set menu of 5 courses!   It was spectacular, the food was so amazing and such rich and varied combinations!   With it being such an intimate experience, a small 2 room area off his very regular looking kitchen....so we got to meet a lovely couple who had driven quite a ways...almost 2 hours!   They were very satisfied and happy when they headed home after what turned into an almost 3 hour event!

I've known Bryan for a few years now, and we've been collaborating on dishes for the restaurant.   Seen here are the pasta bowls i made for him a few months ago, also a new blue bowl that he has ordered and will be ready for him in about a week!

What a joy to see such a young and talented chef do his own thing...and succeed.   It is very difficult to get into his place unless you are willing to book about a month in advance!   I'm ready to make my next reservation for sure!
