Ofenpass walk

Less than an hour from home is the Ofenpass with views down towards the snow-capped peaks of the Stelvio and Swiss National Parks. We enjoyed a lovely stroll in the glorious sunshine reading about the bear who sometimes passes through and the hut/cafe which reopens at Christmas for the winter season. It can be seen above.
At 2100m with abundant snow patches, we were delighted to come across a glorious trumpet gentian in its prime (see extra).
