Mucky bird

Oystercatchers are particularly difficult to get on a camera they are very flighty , this one was atop a large plastic bin , but he had been feeding in a nearby muddy field hence the mud ring round the beak. Had one of those days , non stop and I have been given a pretty challenging task which I accepted but am beginning to wonder if I have bitten off more than is chewable. Time will tell. My son returned inspired from his DOE practice weekend camping in the high wilderness of the Cairngorms in pretty extreme conditions for June. I am so glad it would be easy to be put off. I have been off the hills because of a recurring injury but I feel a hill walk coming up soon.
