Oiche samhain!

Blimey - what a day! Off to Cork city for a bit of everything. First up our friends' exhibition on Rock Art. A stunning exhibition - vibrant, interesting, accessible. it included a wall sized photographic panorama of a rock art filled valley and a full sized photo of a decorated rock place on the floor - eventually people were brave enough to stand on it (see extra). Robert and Finola's informative panels were accompanied by astonishing photos by  Ken William's   and Keith Payne's huge and dramatic painting.

On to Café Paradiso for a fabulous early meal - recently voted best restaurant in Ireland and it's veggie!  Almond pastry spinach galette followed by rosemary custard with fig jam!! Bliss.

Then on to watch the Shandon Dragon and friends parade through the streets - incredible!!  Some very weird and wonderful sites in Cork !

Right off to find a bit of dereliction - don't forget it's DS2 or Dereliction2, and make it spooky!
