Pasta pesto
The basil has been more active than anybody or anything, so I had to make a very garlicky pesto which will make us popular tomorrow.
It was so hot, and we were beached out after the last three days, the most we could manage was a jolly lunch after the plaza and a few jobs there, a siesta for many hours infront of some very boring tennis and about half an hour of activity. Some piles of books have gone, the fire grate has been cleaned (we can't possibly need it for many months now) and that's about it. A pretty good day in retrospect. During the last half hour of phone calls from England, I found the boys had put themselves to bed. Now that has to be a result.
Oh, and thanks to a student's mother for the other half of a decent bottle of red to go with the pasta for me!
