Door lintel

I feel like I'm starting to get to know my way round Nottingham city centre after a number of evenings wondering around. Another pleasant summer evening with lots of people sitting outside pubs and restaurants; not quite Mediterranean in feel but definitely feeling like summer.

I got a good shot of the Robin Hood statue outside the castle, which I'll redo another time. While wondering back to the hotel I spotted this amazing door lintel. Lots of intricate ones, but I think this is the first time I've seen one with an animal skull on it. Very odd...
