Hello Sailor

My beloved 17 year old cat who has been fit until last Sunday ,when he just stopped eating and drinking.Several trips to vet,numerous injections, steroids,vitamins seemed to make no difference , and vet kindly indicated she would call when asked to put him to sleep, and indeed last night he could hardly get from sitting to standing.In the night ,however, I heard the munching of Cat Nibbles kept by my bedside and untouched for ten days.When morning dawned , he was set for the garden, saw the duckhouse on the top pond,and without prompting lept the foot across the pond onto it for the ist time ever, sipped a few drops of water,then onto its roof.It had now sailed away far from the bank , so waders on to rescue him.Hope the recovery lasts and so glad I had my camera with me to take yet more autumnal photos.
