Storm clouds - but no storm

Today it's been hot and muggy, by lunch time delicious storm clouds were gathering, the power went out (a sure sign that it's raining somewhere) and we were hoping that we were in for a great big down pour - I saved my picture of the day as I thought that evening storm clouds would look wonderfully mean and moody.  Except they passed just leaving us willing it to rain another day.  

We've had a day of doing things, finishing up lots of little jobs, which has been great.  Today didn't have a great start as the boy decided not to sleep between 2.30 - 5am, so we didn't get much sleep.  But, that aside, it's been a quiet, get things done day, one that leaves you feeling quite good at the end of it, if a little exhausted.  Dirk has been doing an experiment on some steak, ageing it in the fridge, we've had a sirloin joint in the fridge for two weeks now, which was tough and not too good, so tonight was steak night, and, maybe still a bit tough, but one hell of a lot better than two weeks ago. All we need to do now is plan our meals two weeks in advance and it'll be great....
