Today started with a quick ride round the woods after dog walks. It was lovely bright sunshine at home but foggy in Swithland but not much roadwork to do so we put our high vis on. Everything fine in the field after Trigger's first night in there. He's obviously accepted his place in the pecking order so looks like we were all worried over nothing but the way Corruna the head of the herd was treating him on Thursday morning (lungeing at him across the electric fence) we all thought there were going to be fireworks and that would upset the order of things and could lead to injuries. Despite only being out for about 45 mins, Lime sweated up really badly so looks like I'll have to do a full clip next weekend.

We popped in to see James and Lynne and the twins at lunchtime. It's amazing to see how much the twins have changed over the last couple of weeks, especially Harry.  Mike made a fantastic pie to take round for dinner. Was great to catch up.

Back at home we went on a dusky dog walk. So dark so early now. Nell still on the lead and still desperate to get off it. Mike and Tobes walked a little way ahead and me and Eva behind and it was so sweet to see Alfie sticking close to Eva to make sure his littlest pack member was okay. Every time she decided to run he trotted to keep up with her.

Toby has been asking loads of questions about how hot the centre of the earth is today. Which led onto questions about the sun, the stars, the milky way etc. Mike found a great video to explain about space aimed at kids. Toby was literally wide eyed in wonder and struggled to settle for bed because he just had too many more questions and couldn't quite get his head around the enormity of it all. He's also been asking a lot about infinity and how you measure it!
