In time for Halloween

I love this plant, Physalis  I believe  but maybe not the eating kind.  It's under a friend's window  but it's not his plant....  This has stopped me in the past taking a cutting  but when I see it with the wee lanterns,  I wonder if it would be easy to grow a bush from a cutting.
