'Fading Beauty'

A visit to Wakehurst Nat.Trust to see how the Autumn colours are looking....so many trees have already shed their leaves..earlier than anywhere else at the moment. We left home in bright sunshine, but by the time we got to Ardingly the mist had closed in. Started with coffee....and saw that the sun was breaking through..so got going on our walk. The walled gardens are still putting on a lovely show...the Dahlias and Penstemons are still looking great. A long walk and by late afternoon the fog had arrived...quite dense on the drive home.
