Tangled Roots

Today I spent some overtime money on a new wide angle zoom lens, and headed off to the Surrey Hills to try it out. Reviewing my results I have come to the conclusion that I need more practise - though perhaps the weather wasn't too kind either as the fluffy clouds in a blue sky from yesterday have turned into bland grey complete cloud cover today - and this lens is very different from using a standard zoom!

So instead of the rolling Surrey Hills under a dramatic sky I have chosen this photo of a tree with a wonderful tangle of roots as one of my first attempts with the lens.
