Touch base

Concrete base down. It is quite a tactile material, especially when polished or with a timber shuttered pattern; the wonder material of the twentieth century. Look at Mies van der Rohe's 'Barcelona Pavillion' or Frank Lloyd Wright's 'Falling Water'.

Not that my use of the material is anything other than the mere utilitarian.
