Surprisingly, our large windows are not responsible for too many bird impact casualties, but once in a while.......
If ever one of the little scrubwrens collides with the glass we pop them into a shoe box with something soft, leave them in a quiet dark place for a half hour or so and invariably when we open the box later outside, hey presto, off they go.
Sadly, that was not the case today when we lost this Australian Ground Thrush (Bassian Ground Thrush). He has been a recent visitor to our property so we are a bit sad to have lost him. I hope others will come but give our windows a very wide berth!!!!
