As Time Goes By - Mono Monday - TIME

Not very imaginative I'm afraid, but a watch or clock was all my tired brain could come up with.  Neither of these two watches can tell us the time any more, but are an illustration of time passing.  One belonged to my mother, a twenty first birthday present.  The other was a 50th birthday present to me.  Two gold watches separated by fifty years.

This was one of the most difficult shots I have taken.  No matter what setting I used on the camera, or where I placed the objects could not avoid light reflecting off the glass.  Ended up putting the objects in a shady corner and shielding them with my body.  If someone can tell me how I should have done it I would be so grateful.
