Gilles' Halloween 50th birthday party

The reason we went to Montreuil was to celebrate Gilles' 50th birthday, which had to be a Halloween party given the date. Halloween is relatively new in France and it was my first ever Halloween party! Gilles is a total perfectionist and the result is that his parties are a-ma-zing but a lot of work. During the day SparseRunner and I helped Gilles with the cooking while his husband did a fantastic job with the decorations (extra). 
The party itself was great fun and went on till about 3am - there were some beautiful costume, good music and of course plenty of good food!!
