Ditched
We take our guests on classy walks. Here is Mr K in a ditch next to a busy road just coming out of the local tip...
In fact, they shouldn't even have been here. Yesterday (I'll probably get around to backblipping it) they were ditched by their airline due to the fog in London and ended up back with us: delightful for us, not so much for them.
Anyway, we scurried our kids off to school, fed our pals leftovers on a rather breezy terrace, dragged them through some spiky bushes and a couple of ditches, and then waved them off with fingers crossed that today's journey would be more successful for them. Sadly, it seems from my perusal of flight-tracker that a massive seven hours after leaving us, they have only just re-achieved this latitude after their diversion via Spain.
Another botched delivery was the long-anticipated arrival of the first of our stoves. Due to wholly incompetent packaging, they were both badly dented on arrival, and accordingly sent back. We'll see how that goes given that we are negotiating in second languages (Italian firm).
Super-windy today. It briefly blew the electricity away while we were trying to watch Doctor Who, but happily held up for the next enthralling episode of Downton. All seems calmer now.
And rather quieter and duller without our pals.
