Rocks at Shelburne Falls
I was back at the town of Shelburne Falls (Mass.) today, to pick up my photos at the close of our photo club's two-month exhibition at the Salmon Falls Gallery. The falls, on the Deerfield River, are below the two bridges in the center of the town, and when the river's flow is relatively low (as it is currently) there is a wide and dramatic expanse of sculpted rock next to the falls themselves. It's too wide for a decent blip, so I'm posting this close-up view from the little park overlooking the expanse; the red sumac plant is just below the railing.
