Out of the fog

Thick fog blanketed Stansted airport this morning. It thwarted the plans for an early flight out to France for the launch of the new Audi R8 sports supercar. Instead we went by road to Birmingham, where our plane awaited at its home base, but was unable to land in Essexto collect us due to the conditions. So we eventually took off five hours later than intended, and from the wrong airport.

The consolation, though, was these beauties awaiting our arrival in France, where it was a fine evening. We managed a short drive in the dark tonight, and a useful chance to try the car's new laser lights. Up early again tomorrow to spend the morning on a longer drive. Fingers crossed for no more fog!
