Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Outdoor Dining

After Mr. Fun arrived home from work, we sat outdoors enjoying the view. Then after a while, I made the salad and garlic bread and he barbecued a breast of chicken for me. We both thoroughly enjoy dining outdoors.

The weather here is pretty close to perfect -- warm enough to wear summer fashions and cool enough to not need to turn on the air conditioning, especially when the house is closed during the warmest hours of the day. Other parts of our nation are struggling terribly . . . Florida is flooding and Colorado and New Mexico are burning. The news reports from all of these places is staggering.

I've had a good day and the major thing I accomplished was to renew my Blipfoto membership. This is a superior website and the community of blippers are the friendliest and nicest people on earth.

Tomorrow evening we get to attend a Preview Evening at Art A Fair in Laguna Beach. We are on the mailing list of one of the artist who participates at several of the art festivals and fairs each summer and she offered free tickets to her readership, first come, first serve. So we contacted her and she mailed us two. The promo claims, "At Art A Fair this summer, the juried art of 125 renowned national and international artists, along with some of Laguna's finest artists, promises to inspire." We think it will be lots of fun and very entertaining.

Good night from Southern California.

P.S. I was sorry to learn that Nora Ephron had died today. She is the screenwriter and director behind Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail and Julie & Julia. We own all three of those movies and enjoy them immensely. I also own several books that she wrote. She will be missed.
