Glorious day for November

Yesterday in Wales the temperature reached an all time high for a November day - 22.4C. We had a little of that sunshine although it was foggy early on and later in the afternoon.

Today was not so foggy first thing, so it soon cleared to give a sparkling day, almost summery day; warm and bright. Mind you the fog was not far away as it could be seen lurking over the North Downs like a blanket. Probably, in the Medway towns they had it murky all day.

Susan took the opportunity to do some more planting up and clearing in the garden while I was pottering away on things upstairs facing the computer screen. Booked to got to the Good Food Show in Birmingham for the weekend we go up to Shropshire for the annual cousins do and booked tickets to see the folk group St Agnes Fountain in Ashford.

Susan was out with her mum in the afternoon so I took myself off to the pool only to find it closed owing to a water level problem; it was having to be filled up. Had someone pulled the plug I wonder? Instead I went around to Doreen's to clear and sort the apples from her Bramley tree. We've both got lots of apples now for the coming months.

The fog which had been lurking atop the Downs, much like the scene we saw from the departure lounge at San Francisco airport last year began to roll down towards us as the sun set. Fortunately, for some reason, when we went walking later in the evening it was much clearer.
