Newborn

Opened the front door this morning to find the remains of this sea gull egg on the path. If it was dropped this close to the house I suppose we are going to have the joy of being dive- bombed when the fledgling leaves the nest.
Yesterday my husband watched a weak fledgling blackie being fed on the ground as it struggled to survive. Unfortunately it died.

Nature always amazes.
