How much?!?

For long winded reasons I had to take the water pump hose off the boat engine the other week when we laid her up.
Seeing the hose was a bit worse for wear I thought I would replace it. For 6 inches of water hose crimped onto a brass fitting they wanted £36 plus £5 delivery plus VAT.
I don't think so, the hose is on the cold side of the cooling system, so a bit of reinforced pvc hose from my garage and a lemon clip and it was sorted at no charge. Can also see the seawater going through the cooling system.
