'Sunlight' On A Grey Day

A busy day and not without its frustrations, mostly equipment-based. I whizzed through the town centre on a couple of errands, the skies grey, cars and shops needing their lights on.

As I turned a corner, this Mahonia japonica stopped me in my tracks - glowing bright like a magical patch of sunlight on a dark day. What a wonderful plant to cheer autumn and winter!
