AT THE PAPAGEIENHOF
The splendid warm days keep coming. We worked hard in the morning in the garden, again.
In the afternoon we drove to the Papageienhof. It is still open, because of the warm weather. We walked along the big cages. Now and then the birds made huge noises. When one started, others followed.
There was one parrot in the open, sat relaxed on a branch and did not move much.
I always look in the birdhouse at the very end of the Hof, it is very big and overgrown, there lives an owl. First there were two of them, now I only saw one that flies away and hides when I came nearer.
I find it a sad sight. Sigh.
After visiting the Parrots, we walked a nice path through the vast fields.
The earth already ploughed.
We went back climbing a hill, through a forest, full of enormous high trees.
An extra photo of two Parrots that always sit together and another one that I found a bit funny.
My haiku:
They don't like silence
Or that is what I think now
Hearing their loud cries
And the proverb:
To cry with one eye, and laugh with the other.
